Honeydew Melon Sorbet

Now that the weather is warmer and Summer is almost here I have been looking for ways to keep the little one and myself cool to beat the heat. Lately I have been obsessed with popsicles, ice creams and sorbets so today I want to share with you a simple melon sorbet that I made last week.

Honeydew Melon Sorbet


6 cups honeydew, seeded and diced
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice


Make a simple syrup by placing the sugar, water, and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Heat until the sugar has melted and the mixture has come to boil. Remove from heat. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes.

Place diced honeydew into the bowl of a food processor and purée until smooth and soupy. While pulsing the honeydew purée, slowly pour in the cooled simple syrup until everything is well combined. Transfer the mixture into an airtight container, cover and place it in the freezer for 2-3 hours.

Served in chilled dishes and enjoy!
