Cucumber Water

A few weeks ago while I was browsing Pinterest I stumbled upon a pin that listed the various health benefits of drinking cucumber water. And while I didn't repin it, I did remember reading that if you start to feel sick or you are starting to have a headache then drinking a glass of cucumber water might help with the feeling of an oncoming sickness or headache.

The hubster came home from work that evening and told me that he was starting to feel sick. So I told him about the cucumber water pin that I had stumbled on earlier in the day and made some for him to see if it worked. I cut up some cucumber slices and put them in his water bottle that he usually takes to work and filled it with water, put it in the fridge and let it steep overnight.

The next morning he took it with him to work and when he returned home he told me excitedly that the cucumber water helped and he was feeling much better. So, I guess it works!

For those of you who don't like to drink water because “plain water is too plain” cucumber water can be a great alternative. The cucumber adds a hint of flavor and freshness that leaves you feeling refreshed and hydrated.
